So, my foodie friends, the little cafe that could is no more. The museum has closed it’s doors to the public forever and the Cafe Arte is an official thing of the past. I am a full time LongBar Virtual Creatives employee (and V.P. as always). I will miss the people but not the work so [...] Marie Burke is 87 years old. She recently lost her husband Ray after 63 years of marriage. She is actively involved with our theater company, she volunteers at the hospital that Beth is being treated at, drives herself just about everywhere and keeps all of our spirits up with her good humor and amazing heart. Those of you who are theater people … particularly community theater people, will be familiar with the term “hell week”. This is the last week before a production opens during which everyone panics and the director insists that the cast rehearse every possible waking moment that they are not working, eating or sleeping. When you are [...] Happy birthday to me! It’s my birthday. I have jello cake in the fridge to prove it, made by the hands of my beautiful wife. We ate it yesterday with the gang but there are leftovers for me for later ….yummmm. Going to Jolli Mon’s for dinner with Jason and Bev to drink sangria and eat [...] Just a quick posting to say how thankful I am that we have the friends we have here in Delightful Dunedin (voted best place to retire in the USA – Thanks CNN). This was an absolutely fabulous New Year’s eve and day. We had company virtually from 7:30pm New Years Eve until 9pm New Years Day. [...] |
